Budapest Beer Week is an all week long international craft beer festival with tap takeovers, concerts and professional events with personal representation of both local and brewers from abroad.
The idea for the festival was conceived in a beer bar, influenced by the new wave brewing, international festivals, inspiring brewers, and, of course, a healthy dose of good beer. From the outset in 2017, the goal has been simple and direct: despite the recent surge of craft breweries in Hungary, it became evident that a leap to connect the culture with the international craft beer community was necessary.
Having attended various festivals, the organizers realized one of the significant factors shaping the overall experience is the hosting city itself. Events like Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen, Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend, Brewskival, All In Beer Fest, Borefts Beer Festival, or Mash are cherished not only for their impressive beer lists and participating brewers but also for the opportunity to explore the host city and its unique beer culture.
